The most significant achievement of M.E.E. is its ability to inspire Mississippi's youth via music, allowing them to express themselves, study, and grow as individuals. Each semester, we have seen our students go from beginners with minimal expertise of reading music or playing instruments to confident performers. This past spring finale, "A Night of Motown," included students from grades K-12 exhibiting their passion, persistence, and amazing musical talents, showcasing the value and influence of arts education on children. Children acquire important characteristics such as discipline, teamwork, problem-solving, and creativity through the arts, which contributes to their overall personal and intellectual development.
